The bot lists upcoming shifts, the employee picks one and confirms — the request lands with the manager in Smengo. The decision comes back as a push: approved or not.

An open shift finds its own taker
When a shift frees up, the bot offers it to matching employees in waves. The first to tap “Take it” gets the shift — for everyone else the offer goes dark.
