SMENGO · HIRING

Hiring and the employee journey. No lost candidates.

A drag-and-drop candidate board, AI resume parsing and one-click hiring — in the same system where the schedule and onboarding live.

LIVE DEMO

This is not a mockup — this is the hiring board

An exact replica of the Candidates screen: drag cards between stages, click a candidate to open the dossier. And “+ Candidate” parses a resume with AI.

The hiring board in Smengo is a kanban — Applied → Interview → Offer → Hired — where every candidate is a card with a call countdown, days on stage and contacts.

Smengo is a shift-team management platform for teams of 15–300; hiring is its module before the database, schedule and onboarding.

AI SCREENING

A resume becomes a dossier for one credit

Paste resume text or upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT up to 10 MB — AI fills in the candidate's contacts and prepares an interview brief.

  • Contacts fill themselves in — but never overwrite anything typed manually
  • Up to 4 strengths, up to 4 risks and 5 interview questions
  • Add the vacancy text — the questions will probe the candidate against your requirements
  • The raw resume is never stored or logged — only the parsed result remains

auto-refund if the file isn't a resume

AI credit: parsing costs 1 credit — credits are included in your plan. If the file isn't a resume, the credit refunds itself.

HIRING CONTROL

A board where nothing goes cold

Not a list of names but live cards: each with a call, days on stage and contacts.

Calls never slip: the countdown lives on the card

Every candidate has a call time, and the card counts down by itself: “in 2 h” in amber, “call passed” in red. The counter is live — it updates every minute.

  • Amber two hours before the call, red if you missed it
  • “N days on stage” resets on every move — stagnation is visible instantly
  • The call link is clickable right from the dossier

Hiring in a couple of clicks — from candidate to employee

At the Hired stage the dossier shows a “Hire as employee” button: department, access role, and an optional email invitation. The candidate card stays in history, linked to the new employee.

  • Name, position and email carry over to the employee card automatically
  • Phone and Telegram land in private contacts — visible only to roles with the right
  • The system invitation is optional, with an access-role picker

Hire

Candidates live next to the team

The hiring funnel isn't a separate world: a Candidates folder in the employee database, live stage counters on the dashboard and a positions catalog shared with employees.

  • A Candidates folder in the employee database — the whole funnel next to the team
  • The hiring funnel on the dashboard — those already hired aren't counted twice
  • One positions catalog: renaming touches candidates and employees alike

COMPARISON

Hiring in spreadsheets vs Smengo

With three candidates, notes are enough. By the tenth, people, dates and promises start slipping.

Applications scattered across email and messengers
Every candidate on one staged board
Calls are remembered after they've passed
A call countdown right on the card
Resumes get a 30-second skim
AI parses the resume and drafts 5 interview questions
The new hire's data is retyped into the schedule
A candidate becomes an employee with zero re-entry
Candidates don't get lost
AI reads the resumes
Hiring is wired to the schedule

The key difference: Smengo walks a person from application to their first shift — in the same system as the schedule.
