Free trial
Smengo gives you 14 days of full access with no card required. The trial starts automatically when you create an organization.
What the trial includes
During the trial you have full access to every feature of your chosen plan: the matrix schedule, departments, employees, export, roles, and organization settings. There are no feature restrictions during the trial period.
Tracking time left
The Plans and billing page (user menu → "Plans and billing") shows a progress bar with the number of days remaining. The top banner in the app also displays a countdown while the trial is active.
What happens when the trial ends
If no subscription is set up after 14 days, your organization switches to read-only mode:
- All schedules, employees, and history are preserved - data is never deleted.
- Editing cells, adding employees, and changing settings become unavailable.
- A banner appears in the app prompting you to choose a plan.
As soon as you pick a plan and complete payment, access is restored immediately.
No card needed
No payment details are required to start the trial. You only enter billing information when upgrading to a paid plan.
