Billing in Smengo is per-module and per-employee. Instead of picking one of three tiers, you enable only what your team needs. The price grows with your team and your module set — smoothly, not in jumps.
Free forever
Up to 10 employees Smengo is free with no time limit and no card. The free plan includes:
- the monthly schedule grid,
- check-ins and availability in the Telegram bot,
- calendar subscription (ICS),
- the employee directory,
- schedule export.
Grow past 10 employees and the paid Core turns on; everything else keeps working.
Core
$1.5 per employee per month, minimum $29/mo. Removes the free-plan cap (up to 300 employees) and adds operations:
- shift board and swaps,
- automatic lateness,
- the "Week in numbers" report,
- attendance analytics and demand forecast,
- work rules, coverage alerts, team motivation,
- unlimited departments and roles.
Modules on top of Core
Each module adds to Core and is also priced per employee:
- Pilot — AI (+$1.5/seat): schedule generator, data assistant, morning briefings, knowledge base. Includes AI credits (5 per employee per month).
- Timesheet (+$0.75/seat): timesheets, rates, labor budget, accountant export.
- HR (+$0.75/seat): candidate hiring, onboarding, training and quizzes.
Take everything at once — $3.75 per employee (17% cheaper than the modules separately).
Annual billing
Pay annually for −20% on any combination of modules.
Trial
All modules are open for 14 days with no card. After that, organizations up to 10 employees stay on the free plan; the rest choose the modules they need. Your data is kept either way: if an organization above 10 employees hasn't enabled Core, the section switches to read-only and schedules can be exported anytime.
